The organic manure consists with compost and liquid fertilizer. The CSIAP promotes this CSA practice to improve the soil fertility and increase crops productivity with a contribution to the climate change adaptation and mitigation. Organic manure application leads to enhance soil fertility, increase soil water retention capacity & improve soil physical & chemical properties which directly leads increase crop productivity. Besides, organic manure application reduces the use of chemical fertilizer and it leads to reduce Green House Gas (GHG); eg -N2O-emission.
In the meantime, project has assisted to establish 18241 compost & liquid fertilizer production units and produced 37323 M/tons of compost and 170,945 Liters of liquid fertilizer within project area. Besides, the 20151 farmers have used these compost productions and have cultivated 18924 Ha of their farm lands during past years.
